The fluid bed dryer & granulator used in R&D is a widely adopted equipment in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmetic-chemical industries.

📌 1️⃣ Main Construction

✔️ Drying chamber made of stainless steel 304/316L, polished, GMP-compliant design.
✔️ Integrated PLC/HMI for automatic setting and monitoring.
✔️ Optional WIP/CIP (automatic washing) system to prevent cross-contamination.


📌 2️⃣ Working Principle

Fluidization principle: Powder or granules are placed in the drying chamber. Heated air is blown upward at a velocity high enough to “lift” the particles into suspension → creating a “fluidized bed” state.

Granulation: Binder solution is sprayed from the top (top spray) or bottom (bottom spray) → fine powder particles adhere to each other, forming wet granules → drying takes place inside the chamber → producing uniform granules with controlled moisture.

  • Top-spray nozzle: mounted on the top of the chamber, spraying binder solution downward onto the powder bed.

  • 10-inch touch screen (ATEX certified): controls and monitors all operating parameters.

  • Explosion-proof lighting and electrical cabinet (ATEX certified): ensuring safety in the drying chamber and electrical area.

  • Temperature probe (ATEX certified): precise and stable temperature monitoring.

🔄 Working Principle

  1. Fluidization: Hot air is introduced from the bottom of the chamber, keeping the powder mass in continuous fluidized motion.

  3. Granule formation: Under simultaneous drying and spraying, small particles bond together into uniform granules with controlled moisture and size.
